Born in Germany on May 8th 1969, Nils Krueger immigrated to America in 1988. He attended art school in San Francisco, where he earned a MFA at the Academy of Art University.
For over a decade, Nils Krueger has created original, one of a kind sculptures which deal with the relationship of space and matter. Figurative in nature, his art relates to the human spirit as well as the environment.
Nils Krueger's work has been exhibited at galleries and museums in the United States as well as abroad. He has completed numerous commissions for corporate and private clients. His sculptures have been featured as stage sets for performance artists such as Brian Eno and Laurie Anderson.
The artist currently lives in San Francisco, where he teaches sculpture and graduate studies at the Academy of Art University.
Nils Krueger is currently working on sculptures which make use of new media such as video and lenticular printing. This new body of work builds onto the visual elements of the sculptures featured on this website. Once completed and documented, these new sculptures will be included in the online portfolio.
